Public Housing & South Sycamore Estates
Sioux Falls Housing owns 24 single-family homes and 16 apartments in Sioux Falls. These units provide housing to people who are at or below 30% Area Median Income (AMI) and 50% AMI, respectively. Please contact our office to learn more about rental opportunities.
How does it work?
When there is a vacancy, applicants from the waiting list are contacted about 3 and 4-bedroom houses owned by Sioux Falls Housing & Redevelopment Commission.
These houses are located in different areas of town.
The rent is based on 30% of the tenant's adjusted monthly income.
The tenant is responsible for paying all utilities.
Standard trash collection is provided.
Tenants are responsible for lawn maintenance and snow removal.

How Do I Apply?
An application for placement on the waiting list for the Public Housing Program can be obtained at the office of Sioux Falls Housing & Redevelopment Commission during office hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
